The Chicago Bears (4-8) won their first game against a divisional opponent in the Matt Eberflus era, defeating the Minnesota Vikings (6-6), 12-10, on Monday Night Football. No, that is not a misprint. Going into Monday’s game, Eberflus was winless against all three teams in the NFC North. Finally, something good comes from a divisional game.
They are 4-4 in their last eight games, leaving question marks on what could’ve happened if this team didn’t start as slowly as they did. In the opinion of many, the Bears should be a 6-6 football team, as they shouldn’t have lost to the Lions or Broncos. That comes down to coaching and a lack of execution in the fourth quarter.
Chicago is now heading into a Week 13 bye, where they get to rest, clean things up, and prepare for a Week 14 game against the Lions. Here’s where they stand in the power rankings going into Week 13.
