Bears Wire 2024 free agency preview: Top dream and realistic targets (and who to avoid)

The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the start of what’s sure to be a busy free agency as general manager Ryan Poles continues to build this roster into a contender.

Chicago is slated to have around $58 million in salary cap space in 2024, which is the fifth-most in the NFL. Poles will have plenty of money to work with, as he could land some big-name veterans to shore up some big needs.

When looking at the current roster, there are a slew of needs including edge rusher, safety, wide receiver and tight end. There are plenty of intriguing players set to hit the open market — both realistic and likely unattainable.
