Bengals fans stunned by Trey Hendrickson’s trade request before NFL draft

Cincinnati Bengals star defensive end Trey Hendrickson blindsided fans just before the 2024 NFL draft by requesting a trade.

The trade request stems from Hendrickson wanting more years on his contract. One could argue based off last year’s restructure the Bengals gave him, though, that the team itself probably wasn’t so blindsided by the request.

Still, the apparent randomness of it to outsiders and the fact it happened right before the draft — which means it could impact what they do in Round 1 — created a wave of reactions from Bengals fans, media and fans of other teams, too.
