Bengals fans were not happy about rookie’s jersey number reveal

The Cincinnati Bengals unveiling the official jersey numbers for the rookie class is an annual event for fans.

But this year the reveal seemed bigger than normal.

It seems we have Bengals third-round pick Jermaine Burton to thank for the buzz. The former Alabama star has landed on the No. 81 not long after suggesting he might be open to the idea of No. 3.

That registers as disappointing for many fans who wanted to finally see the “513” area code happen at wide receiver, with Burton’s supposed No. 3 working with Ja’Marr Chase (No. 1) and Tee Higgins (No. 5) to make it happen.
