Jones believes he can play all the three IOL positions.
If there’s one position group that the Cincinnati Bengals should be interested in upgrading every chance they get, it is the offensive line. Joe Burrow has been among the most-sacked quarterbacks in the NFL since he entered the league in 2020.
That needs to change, and Cincinnati tried to do its best, spending big in free agency last offseason, but those bodyguards didn’t quite do the trick as the Bengal’s offensive line still didn’t play to its full potential.
That’s why it should again target the offensive line in the NFL Draft. Per The Draft Network’s Justin Melo, the Bengals do have interest in center Avery Jones, who spent three seasons at East Carolina before finishing up his college career with the Tigers.
.@AuburnFootball C Avery Jones enters the 2024 NFL Draft with three straight years of starting experience. Also versatile enough to play Guard.

Jones, per Melo, believes he can play all three interior offensive line positions, which would add to his stock. Versatility, especially with the number of injuries on the line in most seasons, is huge.
Jones played in 11 games with the Pirates in 2022 and then eight games with the Tigers last season. Jones could be an option for Cincinnati, especially if they truly believe he can play center and either guard position.
