The Cincinnati Bengals are still looking for possible additions to the secondary in the draft later this month.

Another safety who received an invitation to the Bengals local day is Ohio State’s Josh Proctor according to Justin Melo of The Draft Network.

Proctor had a long college career, which was derailed by injuries at times, but he had somewhat of a breakout season in 2023 with the Buckeyes. He finished the year with 47 tackles (four for a loss), eight passes broken up and an interception.

He has played multiple different positions but found himself mostly at the strong safety spot last year, but he has enough experience to be familiar with how a defense works. He provides some versatility in that aspect, being able to play free safety or nickel as well.

Proctor is currently projected to go late in the draft if he’s chosen at all, so if the Bengals do like what they see, it’s very possible they could end up with him at one of their late picks.
