The Cincinnati Bengals made a handful of roster moves coming out of the bye as they begin prep for next weekend’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Cincinnati announced the signing of Michael Thomas from the practice squad, meaning the safety will be the second Michael Thomas on the active roster for at least this week.

The team also added linebacker Austin Calitro to the practice squad in Thomas’ spot. He was, of course, the guy the Bengals won on waivers over four other teams back in 2020 and has been on and off the squad since.

In another housekeeping move, the Bengals placed tight end Mitchell Wilcox on the Reserve/COVID-19 list about a day removed from cornerback Chidobe Awuzie coming off that same list.

At this point, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the Bengals make a flurry of other moves in the coming days after the revelation that linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither will miss the rest of the season.
