Quick Hits: Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins Back Together With Goals In Mind; Taylor-Britt Still Limited As Higgins Goes Full
Bengaldom has been turned upside down in that 28-day stretch since with a three-game losing streak and the season-ending injury to Pro Bowl quarterback Joe Burrow. Chase and Higgins won’t divulge their season goals, but each says they can still reach them.

More Quick Hits: A Few Words From Bengals’ Greatest Backup QB; Finding The Right Fit For Defense
“He’s a veteran guy. Everything I’m saying, he knows already,” says Blake from Florida Thursday night. “Give him another game or two to see what happens, to see how he does. It’s a game or two before you can actually click in and actually get settled and your nerves and your confidence start to calm down. He’s probably going to go out and play very well this weekend. He’ll play smart and won’t make the same mistake twice. He can’t worry about Trevor or the Jacksonville Jaguars. Just worry about himself.”

Bengals’ Lou Anarumo working extra to fix run defense woes
“We continue to practice the issues that keep popping up. We’re doing more run fits than we’ve ever done,” Anarumo said, according to Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “We just did 20. We’ll do 30 a day. That’s outside of practice and my walkthrough and then within another practice period. And then in practice, we’ll do another set of it.”

Look: Cincinnati Bengals Running Back Joe Mixon Holding Back Bengals Rushing Attack in 2023
Joe Mixon is the same ineffective runner he was last season, checking in with the sixth most carries this campaign. Most of those haven’t been pretty. According to PFF, among 41 qualified backs, Mixon ranks 31st in missed tackles forced per attempt, 28th in yards per carry, 36th in yards after contact per attempt, and 30th in breakaway percentage.

Chad Johnson interested in UK job? Former Bengals great teases interest online
Kentucky needs a new wide receivers coach. You can apply here if you are qualified and interested. Respectfully, you probably aren’t, but the job is vacant and posted online, per school policy. Good luck. You’ll need it because at least one former NFL wide receiver is kicking the idea around, too.

Bengals’ CB Cam Taylor-Britt remains limited at practice due to quad, ankle injuries
Taylor-Britt was one of four players listed as limited on Friday’s injury report, with the quad injury that kept him out of last week’s game continuing to hamper his availability in Cincinnati’s preparations for Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars.

Cincinnati Bengals Center Ted Karras Notes ‘Edgy’ Bengals Practice as Team Tries Avoiding Longest Losing Streak of His Cincinnati Tenure
“I think we need a win just to get a win,” Karras said on Thursday. “Our job is to help this team win ballgames. So we’ve been on a skid here, and no one loves that. It’s a nice edgy Wednesday, or Thursday, but Wednesday practice. So we’re bringing the energy and we got a big primetime game against a team fighting for the one seed in this conference. So it’d be nice to go knock them off on Monday Night Football.”
