Tee Higgins won’t get the attention Joe Burrow does by any means, but he’s a massive sophomore breakout candidate in his own right.

Higgins, the first pick of the second round by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft, nearly broke a franchise record held by Cris Collinsworth last season before an injury removed him from the team’s last game.

Fast forward to this offseason, Higgins “looks like a completely different player” after adding size and speed to his frame to improve his game.

It shouldn’t be a surprise, then, to hear about some of his goals for the 2021 season, as captured by ESPN’s Ben Baby:

No individual goal for Higgins seems unreasonable either. He nearly had 1,000 yards last year and while Ja’Marr Chase’s arrival will diversify the offense more, it could have the opposite impact — letting Higgins put up even bigger numbers.

As for the playoffs front, Higgins can play a key role, but it’s not on him alone. But as a whole? Some ambitious, fun goals for the new No. 85.
