Sam Hubbard is set to play.

The injury bug has hit the Cincinnati Bengals hard this season. From Tee Higgins and Sam Hubbard missing extended time to franchise quarterback Joe Burrow suffering a season-ending wrist injury (after recovering from a calf strain), it is just hard to imagine their luck getting worse.

Friday’s news seems to suggest it can, as standout cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt will miss Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a quad injury. Taylor-Britt is having a phenomenal season, so losing him is far from ideal.

Wideout Tee Higgins is also out and will miss yet another game as he deals with a hamstring injury. After a big outing against the Buffalo Bills, Higgins has been sidelined ever since.

Making matters worse is standout linebacker Germaine Pratt is now questionable to play after getting a DNP Friday due to an illness.

Some good news is that defensive end Sam Hubbard was back on the practice field this week and is good to go. Hubbard has been sidelined the past two games with an ankle injury that he seems to be on the mend from.

Full participants from Friday who are set to play are Andrei Iosivas (knee), Trenton Irwin (hip), Cameron Sample (knee), Jonah Williams (shoulder), and D.J. Reader (illness).

Rookie running back Chase Brown (hamstring) was also able to practice in full this week, as he is now cleared to return from injured reserve should the team choose to activate him. He’s officially listed as questionable to play this week.

B.J. Hill (knee) and Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee) are good to go, while D’Ante Smith (knee) is doubtful.

For the Steelers, safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) and defensive lineman Montravius Adams (ankle) are out, while cornerback James Pierre (shoulder) is questionable.
