It’s not just the game that’s happening

Fans of the Buffalo Bills have been dying to get together for a long time now. With many changes in the world since last season lots of people are taking advantage of relaxed safety protocols. It’s not just tailgating or events at the game either. Let’s highlight a couple events happening this weekend to celebrate the return of football and the home opener. If you know of anything else happening, let us know in the comments.

Circle The Wagons Skate Party (children welcome)

Saturday from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Frank Young’s Sports Arena, Orchard Park
$15 admission (plus $3 skate rental)
For more information and to buy tickets, click here

It’s an old-school skate party presented by fan groups Pancho’s Army, Bills Mafia Babes, and JSpenceTheKing (who you might recognize as a BR contributor). A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to Kids Escaping Drugs on behalf of Bills safety Jordan Poyer. The event description reads “Come enjoy the nostalgia of your youth with the rest of Bills Mafia as we ‘Circle The Wagons’ and skate our way into the home opener.”

The Bills Mafia Babes have been busy as of late hosting a movie night to raise money for Micah Hyde’s foundation IMagINe For Youth and an online donation drive for Harrison Phillips’s Playmakers. I doubt they’re done so keep your eyes peeled for events in the future.

Second Annual Mafia Homecoming Party (21 and over only)

Friday from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Soho, Buffalo
$55 admission ($58.75 with fees, see below)
For more information and to buy tickets, click here

The Mafia Homecoming Party wants you to “Come celebrate the start of football with [Aaron Williams].” Admission includes food and drink, with the five hours promising an open bar. Other highlights include “raffles, a 50/50, Super Fans” and the aforementioned Aaron Williams.

If you follow some of the Super Fans in question or content creators you can also score a code for $5 off the price of admission. I’ll give a shout out to Bills Vader who is an excellent follow on Twitter but for a real easy way to make that discount happen here’s a code courtesy of JSpenceTheKing.
