Breece Hall is free. He is set to run wild. The training wheels are coming off.

On Wednesday, Jets head coach Robert Saleh said his top running back is no longer on a pitch count. He will not be limited in games as he had been over the first four games of the season.

“There is no pitch count with him anymore,” Saleh told reporters Wednesday. “We’d love to get him going.”

From the first play against the Buffalo Bills in Week 1, Hall looked like he was completely fine coming off his ACL recovery after his strong first run. Despite that, the Jets were cautious with Hall, only playing him on about a third of the offensive snaps in Weeks 1 and 2 before bumping up to about half of the snaps in Weeks 3 and 4.

Hall has just 32 carries for 210 yards through four games. 127 of those yards came in Week 1. But now that the training wheels are coming off, the sky seems to be the limit for Hall, who can really help stretch the offense.

A healthy Hall should also mean less work for Dalvin Cook, who has disappointed in his first four games with the Jets. New York might be better served to incorporate Michael Carter and Israel Abanikanda more into the offense.

But the bottom line here is that Breece Hall is back. That will help the offense tremendously, particularly quarterback Zach Wilson, who already seems to be gaining more confidence. Now that his top running back is a full-go, Wilson has to be even more excited going forward.

Welcome back, Breece.
