The Denver Broncos have traded a 2024 draft pick to the Los Angeles Rams for linebacker Kenny Young.

According to multiple sources, the Denver Broncos have completed a trade with the Los Angeles Rams for linebacker Kenny Young. The Broncos will get Young and a 2024 seventh-round pick in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick.

As Schefter noted, the Broncos have issues at linebacker due to injury. Young has racked up 49 tackles and 6 tackles for a loss this season as a seven game starter for the Rams. He also added two sacks. We should expect Young to be involved with the Broncos starting lineup sooner rather than later.

Anything they can do to help shore of the interior of the defense is going to be huge. The Broncos struggled to plug the gaps last week and the Cleveland Browns ran all over the Denver defense. This doesn’t completely solve the problem there, but anything that can help Vic Fangio figure out how to band-aid the situation is going to be good for this team as they are not even halfway through the season yet.

As for the trade itself, George Paton just got a starting linebacker for basically swapping a sixth for a seventh in 2024. That seems pretty reasonable even if Young is a fringe starter.
