WR John Brown and OLB Pita Taumoepenu have been upgraded from the practice squad as of today

#17 WR John Brown and #57 OLB Pita Taumoepenu have been elevated to the active roster as of Thursday, October 21.

WR John Brown

The 5’11,” 178-lb wide receiver has been in the NFL for eight years, originally hailing from Pittsburgh State University (Kansas) before starting his career with the Arizona Cardinals (2014-17). He would later join the Baltimore Ravens (2018), then the Buffalo Bills (2019-20), before landing in Denver.

He’s caught three or more touchdowns in each season.

Quick Stats: 230 receptions (4748 yards); 31 TDs in 97 games played (65 starts)

OLB Pita Taumoepenu

Standing at 6’1” and 245lbs, the OLB from University of Utah is a fifth-year NFL player who was signed to Denver’s practice squad on Tuesday. He played for the San Francisco 49ers (2017-18) for six games after being drafted 202nd overall, and later appeared in a single game with the Atlanta Falcons (2020).

Quick stats (college): 21.5 sacks; 72 tackles; one fumble recovery, four forced fumbles
