Browns vs Texans in a rematch of Week 16’s matchup in the Wild Card round

The Cleveland Browns are returning to the NFL playoffs. Their Week 18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals had no impact on the postseason so the Browns rested as many players as possible to keep them healthy.

While Cleveland was getting beat by the Bengals starters, the Jacksonville Jaguars controlled their playoff destiny. With a win, the Jaguars would host the Browns. With a loss, the Houston Texans win the AFC South and host Cleveland for the second time this season.

Jacksonville couldn’t get the job done leaving the Browns to face off with the Texans in the Wild Card round in a rematch of the Week 16 game. Cleveland won with Houston missing QB CJ Stroud.

Looking back, the Browns can repeat what they did in Week 16 but will have to do so against the likely Offensive Rookie of the Year.

With the results of the 1 PM games on Sunday, the AFC playoff field is set:

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Houston Texans
  • Cleveland Browns
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Pittsburgh Steelers

Seeding is still up in the air with Miami’s matchup with Buffalo on Sunday night football.

We will have you covered with all things Browns playoffs and the upcoming Texans matchup.
