The rookie wide receiver had a disappointing rookie season

The fun part of entering every NFL season is always trying to figure out which players can be breakthrough candidates. They can be rookies, veterans or players who you just think have a shot at taking their game to the next level.

For the Raiders, could it be wide receiver Bryan Edwards? Bleacher Report think so.

After being selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Edwards had a very underwhelming rookie campaign. He finished with under 200 receiving yards and only one touchdown. Although he did miss some time due to injury, he wasn’t much of an impact-player when he was out on the field.

There is still a chance for Edwards to step up in 2021. Nelson Agholor is gone, which could open up an opportunity. Plus he has a whole year under his belt now. I was very high on Edwards last season and was bummed his rookie season was a dud.

I agree with Bleacher Report on this one. I think Edwards can break out and have a great season for the Raiders.
