Here is the first injury report for the Buccaneers and Rams ahead of their marquee week three matchup

The big story of Wednesday coming out of the Advent Health Training Facility is that Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list, leaving his availability for the game in Los Angeles very much in question. As it stands now, it looks very unlikely that Brown can make the trip.

Outside of that, outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul missed practice on Wednesday, listed with hand and shoulder injuries. Though JPP often misses practice throughout the week and plays on Sundays, the shoulder wrinkle is a new one and something that is worth monitoring.

The other Buccaneers player listed is return specialist Jaydon Mickens with abdomen injury.

As for the Rams, defensive tackle Aaron Donald and offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth did not participate but neither was not injury related. Players that did miss with injury related issues were outside linebacker Leonard Floyd (ankle) and running back Darrell Henderson (ribs).

If Henderson is unable to go, the Rams will look to former Tom Brady teammate and New England Patriot Sony Michel, whom they traded for following the injury to Cam Akers in the offseason. With a high octane offense led by Matthew Stafford now hitting their stride, the Rams will provide a particularly difficult challenge for a Bucs defense that has already had over 100 passes thrown against them this season. Michel’s pass catching ability could provide a valuable outlet for a quarterback looking to avoid Tampa Bay’s pass rush.

Just like JPP’s shoulder, both Floyd and Henderson’s injuries should be monitored throughout the week. Lingering issues with either player could certainly lead to a game day scratch.

The Buccaneers and Rams face off inside SoFi Stadium on Sunday at 4:35 p.m. ET on FOX. Joe Buck, Troy Aikman, and Erin Andrews are on the call.
