Buccaneers place Kevin Minter on COVID-19 list

<div> <figure> <img alt="Los Angeles Chargers v Tampa Bay Buccaneers" src="https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/GWTi80rPRfFa63G189LuuEQIVhU=/0x0:5958x3972/1310x873/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_image/image/69886318/1279218182.0.jpg"> <figcaption>Photo by James Gilbert/Getty Images</figcaption> </figure> <p>The team also announced additional roster moves.</p> <p id="52gV4z">The <a href="https://www.bucsnation.com/">Tampa Bay Buccaneers</a> today announced that linebacker and special teams captain <strong>Kevin Minter</strong> as well as practice squad wide receiver <strong>Travis Jonsen</strong> have been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.</p> <p id="l8k1kR">In addition, the team has released cornerback <strong>Herb Miller</strong> from its practice squad and signed outside linebacker <strong>Elijah Ponder</strong> to the team’s practice squad. </p> <p id="CLWTYH"><strong>Ponder</strong> (6-3, 275) originally entered the league as a college free agent with the Buccaneers this past offseason and spent the 2021 training camp and preseason with Tampa Bay prior to being waived Aug. 31. Ponder played 32 collegiate games at Cincinnati (2016-20), recording 64 career tackles (12.5 for loss), 4.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
