Both sides have quarterbacks dealing with injuries.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have begun to put in work for their Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. And on the first day of practice, all the attention was on the status of Baker Mayfield.

Mayfield was officially listed as a non-participant in Thursday’s and if the team was hitting the field, head coach Todd Bowles said his veteran quarterback wouldn’t be out there.

“He would not have practiced today,” Bowles told the media on Thursday. “Hopefully we’ll see him tomorrow.”

Left tackle Tristan Wirfs (illness) and linebacker K.J. Britt (calf) were also listed as non-participants in today’s report.

As for the Eagles, they are also having to deal with an injury to their quarterback of their own. Jalen Hurts is still nursing a dislocated finger in his throwing hand he suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Giants. Speaking to the media Thursday Hurts said he hadn’t thrown a football since the injury, but is trending in the right direction. He was listed as a limited participant in Philly’s session.

Wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) did not participate in Thursday’s practice for the Eagles.
