Unless your the team hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, it’s never too early to get a head start at next season. With the Super Bowl completing the 2022 NFL season on Sunday, many sports books have already released their 2023 Super Bowl odds for every NFL team including the Bucs.

Let’s put it lightly. If you throw any money down on the Bucs to win it all next season, you are going to make a lot of money if they do. According to BetMGM, Tampa Bay’s odds to win the big game the following year is +8000. That’s tied for the 29th best odds around the league, finding themselves at the same spot with their NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons.

The teams at the top are the Super Bowl winning Chiefs (+600), Bengals (+850) and then Bills, Eagles and 49ers all at +900.

Tough To Predict The Bucs’ Record With Many Loose Ends To Tie Up

The odds are enormous for the Bucs, but it doesn’t come as a surprise. It’s quite difficult to give a legitimate prediction when there are so many holes in the organization that need to be addressed.

Tampa Bay is still searching for an offensive coordinator. They’ve interviewed nine candidates already and have taken their time to choose the best fit, while some, including Georgia offensive coordinator Todd Monken and Cincinnati quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher, have turned the Bucs down.

On top of that, the Bucs also need a quarterbacks coach, a running backs coach, and a wide receivers coach, and more assistants to the staff. But that won’t happen until a coordinator is named. Now the next play-caller could likely bring in his own guys, but that domino first still needs to fall.

Don’t Forget – The Bucs Need To Finding Their Next QB, Too

And then there is the starting quarterback situation in Tampa Bay to consider. Tom Brady’s retirement on February 1, shifted the entire dynamic of the offseason for the Bucs. Tampa Bay needs to decide on essentially three options.

First, the Bucs can explore a market for a veteran quarterback that could help the team win now in a weak division. Or they can go with Kyle Trask, who is heading into his third year but with very limited experience. And finally, the other choice is to draft another quarterback in this year’s NFL Draft and develop him for the time being.

Once the Bucs have more clarity on the direction they want to go, then you can get a better look on what their odds should be. If they nail this coordinator pick and pair them with a veteran quarterback, you may have yourself a way better payout than if you live bet them to win it all half way through the season.

Should Tampa Bay go with a rookie and a rebuild, well, you might as well rip the your ticket up.
