The Bills are made for the bright lights, I guess.

The Buffalo Bills played their seventh prime-time game in Week 18, defeating the Miami Dolphins for the AFC East title and the two seed in the AFC playoff picture. That’s not all. Buffalo set the record for most prime-time games in a single season. That makes them North America’s Team, right?

Under the old Collective Bargaining Agreement, only six games could be in prime time. In the new CBA, that number increased to seven. The Bills hit that number in 2023 and were the first team to reach it under the new rules, going to prime time in more than 41% of their games:

  • Week 1: Bills at Jets, Monday Night Football
  • Week 6: Bills vs Giants, Sunday Night Football
  • Week 8: Bills vs Buccaneers, Thursday Night Football
  • Week 9: Bills vs Bengals, Sunday Night Football
  • Week 10: Bills vs Broncos, Monday Night Football
  • Week 16: Bills at Chargers, “Sunday Night Football” on Saturday
  • Week 18: Bills at Dolphins, Sunday Night Football

The Bills were 4-3 in those games, so not great. They are scheduled in the afternoon for the Wild Card round, so let’s hope they keep winning.
