The last free agent member of the Seahawks 2017 Day 2 draft class has found a team.

Defensive tackle Nazair Jones, who played two seasons with Seattle in 2017 and 2018, was signed by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday.

Jones missed all of 2019 due to a knee injury, and was released by Seattle in May of 2020. He did not play in the 2020 season.

Although he only started two games for the ‘Hawks, Jones is fondly remembered for his pick-6 of Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field, which was sadly called back due to a penalty (and ejection) on Jeremy Lane. Had the play stood that would’ve represented just the second pick-6 of Rodgers’ career, but that honor went to the Cincinnati Bengals’ William Jackson III later that season.

On Day 2 in 2017, Jones was one of six selections made by Seattle. Notably, only Ethan Pocic remains with the Seahawks, as Malik McDowell (Browns), Shaquill Griffin (Jaguars), Lano Hill (Panthers), Amara Darboh (Broncos), and Jones are now on other rosters around the league. In fact, Pocic and Chris Carson are the only two out of eleven selections from 2017 that remain with Seattle.
