The Bills aim to continue their preseason winning streak.

The Buffalo Bills are set to play their third and final game of the 2021 preseason today, hosting the Green Bay Packers at Highmark Stadium. The only stakes on the outcome of this exhibition match are Buffalo’s seven-game preseason winning streak, which could stretch to eight with a win today.

Many Bills first stringers, including quarterback Josh Allen, are set to play for the first time in today’s game. What remains to be seen is whether the Bills use them for a token drive, a quarter, or more, in their only action before the season begins.

Meanwhile, this is also the last opportunity for several Bills at the back of the roster to make their case for lasting beyond final cuts. At quarterback, Jake Fromm and Davis Webb are competing to be the team’s third stringer, whether that’s on the roster or the practice squad. Marquez Stevenson, who seems like he’s back on the field after a minor foot injury, has an opportunity to stick as the team’s last receiver and as a returner, at least until Isaiah McKenzie’s shoulder injury is healed. Linebackers like Tyrel Dodson and Joe Giles-Harris have a battle on their hands, as do Damar Hamlin and Josh Thomas, and Cam Lewis and Rachad Wildgoose.

Here’s your open thread for the first half of today’s game! Let’s look forward to another promising game from New York’s football team. Go Bills!
