How to follow along as Buffalo goes for its first home win.

Fresh off their first shutout victory in nearly five years, the Buffalo Bills return to Western New York seeking their first home win of the 2021 season when they take on the Washington Football Team at 1 p.m. EDT Sunday in a Week 3 showdown.

Both the Bills (1-1) and the Football Team (1-1) are coming off wins, with the Bills riding high after blanking the Miami Dolphins by a 35-0 score, and the Football Team escaping with a 30-29 triumph over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

The Bills’ defense dominated the Dolphins, piling up six sacks, forcing an interception, recovering a fumble, and stopping Miami on downs four times. It was more than enough to support Josh Allen and the offense. Allen tossed a pair of touchdown passes, Zack Moss rushed for a pair of scores, and Devin Singletary rushed for 82 yards, including a 46-yard scamper, as Buffalo earned its eighth win over Miami in the last ten matchups.

The Football Team appeared to have lost to the Giants when former Bill Dustin Hopkins pushed a game-winning field goal wide right, but an offsides penalty negated the miss, and Hopkins converted to lift Washington to victory. Hopkins made three field goals, Taylor Heinicke completed 34 of 46 passes with two TDs and an interception, Terry McLaurin hauled in 11 passes for 107 yards with a TD, and Washington sacked Daniel Jones four times.

This Week 3 clash features coaches who are quite familiar with each other, as current Bills head coach Sean McDermott was the defensive coordinator under current Washington head coach Ron Rivera when Rivera was coaching the Carolina Panthers.

Sunday’s matchup will be the 16th meeting all-time between the Bills and Washington. Buffalo holds a 9-6 lead in the series and has won seven of the last eight games.

The last time these two teams met, on Nov. 3, 2019, was Washington’s first trip to Western New York in 16 years.

Allen completed 14 of 20 passes for 160 yards with two total touchdowns (one passing and one rushing), Devin Singletary rushed for 95 yards and a TD on 20 carries, and the Bills’ defense sacked Dwayne Haskins four times as the team emerged with a 24-9 victory. With the win, Buffalo improved to 6-2, its best start since starting 7-1 during the 1993 season.

The Bills are 7.5-point favorites and will be wearing their blue jerseys with white pants and white helmet. Here are all the ways to catch Sunday’s game from home:
