Rams challenged Elijah Moore’s catch, ref says “butt cheek” was inbounds

The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Rams matchup in Week 13 was expected to be a low-scoring affair, especially with injuries to WRs Amari Cooper and Puka Nacua impacting the game in the first half. The Browns started QB Joe Flacco, their fourth starting quarterback of the season.

Both teams started the game with scoring possessions but the Rams took a 10-7 lead in the first quarter as Cleveland’s offense stalled out on five straight possessions.

Finally, with less than five minutes left in the first half, the Browns offense got rolling with Flacco hitting WR Elijah Moore for 42 yards near the sideline:

Los Angeles challenged the play leading referee John Hussey uttered the words “butt cheek” on a television broadcast:

May have been the first time anyone heard those two words during a football game as social media reacted quickly including Cleveland’s own Twitter/X account.

The Browns added a few yards before kicker Dustin Hopkins came in to tie the football game with a 40-yard field goal.

What was your reaction to the refs announcement? Did any of your family members have a funny or angry reaction?
