Calais Campbell says Ravens can be ‘quite special’ in 2021

The Baltimore Ravens will be looking to have a special year in 2021 after a disappointing exit in the Divisional Round last season. They’ve added quality pieces on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball, and with another year of primarily the same core players, Baltimore should be able to build off of what they’ve been able to do over the last few seasons.

When asked if there’s a sense of unfinished business among the players and coaches of the Ravens, defensive lineman Calais Campbell said that the team can be “quite special” in 2021.

“There’s only one happy team at the end of the year, and obviously, we want to be that happy team at the end of the year. And last year, we felt like we had a good chance, but we didn’t get it done. I think this mentality this year is just try to make the best of this one. We know what we have as a team, as far as talent and as far as scheme, and we know that we can be very, very good – quite special, really. And so, the mentality really is just be the best we can be. It’s a new year – 17 games. This year is going to be a little different than years past, and somebody has to set the standard for that, and so, we said, ‘Why not us?’”

With plenty of challengers throughout the AFC this upcoming season, it will be no easy task for Baltimore to achieve their goal of getting to the Super Bowl and ultimately winning a championship. However, with how explosive their offense is and how dominant their defense can be, the sky’s the limit for them. If they continue to work hard, don’t let up, and never lose sight of their goal, they have all of the potential in the world to go as far as they want during the 2021 season and have a very special year.
