Canal Street Chronicles: NFL Draft Bold Predictions

Here are some bold predictions from the CSC staff for the 2024 NFL Draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft is right around the corner, which is always full of unexpected surprises that are hard to predict but we are still going to have some fun with it anyway. The New Orleans Saints currently hold the #14 pick, will they trade up, trade down, stay at 14? Who will go #1 overall? Will a top prospect fall? There is so much to look forward to but first, let’s take a look at some of the Canal Street Chronicles staff’s predictions for this year’s draft:

TINA:

• The Saints will trade back from 14.
• Saints will go offense in the first 2 rounds.
• They will enter the draft with no 3rd or 4th round picks but that will change.

KYLE:

• The Saints trade up in the 3rd round.
• They leave the draft without selecting an EDGE rusher.
• The Saints draft offense heavily.

LUKE H:

• Saints trade back in the first round for the first time since 1997 as someone looks to move up for a QB.
• Saints draft offensive players with three of first four picks.
• Saints select Michael Pratt from Tulane.

CARSON:

• The Saints will trade into the third round of the draft.
• The Saints will select a quarterback in the fifth or sixth round.
• An unexpected team will trade into the top five to draft Jayden Daniels.

CALEB:

• If Olu Fashanu is gone by pick 14, the Saints will trade back.
• The Chicago Bears will trade up to get pick 7 and draft Dallas Turner
• J.C. Latham goes top 10.
• Saints trade up for a WR from pick 45.
• Pete Werner will be traded during the draft.

HAYDEN:

• Saints draft a QB on day 2.
• Saints don’t go offensive line in the first round.
• Saints make no trades on day 3 but two on day 2.

MATT:

• Saints take a WR on Day 2
• Four QBs will go in the Top 10
• Saints take either Fautanu or Fauga

LAUREN:

• Saints snag Jared Verse in round 1
• Saints pick up a QB in the 3rd round.
• No safeties will be drafted before the 3rd round.
