The Cincinnati Bengals have a breakout star at defensive end with Trey Hendrickson.

And franchise great Carlos Dunlap loves what he’s seeing.

Dunlap, who spent 2010-2020 in Cincinnati and set sack records with his 82.5 sacks, shared a back-and-forth he just had with Hendrickson while congratulating him for beating his single-season sack record.

Hendrickson, a big-money signing by the team in free agency this past offseason, has 14 sacks in 15 games, which broke the team’s sack record. He’s also got at least half a sack in 11 games in a row, the league’s top streak and one behind second on the all-time list.

In the exchange, Dunlap and Hendrickson joke about the former trying to sell the latter his house. The man formerly known as Employee 96 jokingly asked Hendrickson to leave the rest of his franchise records alone.

This isn’t the first time recently that Dunlap has made waves while talking about the Bengals. He also rushed to the defense of Joe Burrow over the quarterback’s viral quote about the city of Cincinnati.
