Cassius Marsh has been all around the NFL, and his time in New England was certainly memorable for all the wrong reasons.

For the Pittsburgh Steelers, they have grown accustomed to watching former players leave, and trash the team either on their way out, or when they are asked about their time in Pittsburgh later in their career.

Antonio Brown scorched every bridge possible as he left, and Le’Veon Bell threw several players and coaches under the bus when he left for the New York Jets. Even Nick Vannett trashed the Steelers when he left via free agency and joined the Denver Broncos.

Now, Steelers fans can sit back and see how one of their current players, outside linebacker Cassius Marsh, looked back on his time with the New England Patriots. Sure, Marsh has played on seven teams in eight seasons, but his trashing the Patriots in hindsight was certainly interesting.

Check out what Marsh had to say about the “Patriot Way”.

“The Patriot Way is extremely impressive,” Marsh told Tom Segura on his podcast. “They work day-in and day-out. Their work ethic over there, what they instill, is pretty legendary. But they also treat players like crap. You don’t have a lunch period. You get there and you have to make time to eat in between meetings. And they’re like five to 10 minute periods where I would literally go scoop food and put it in a cup and crush it real quick before I got to the next meeting. There’s no fun. There’s no — well, that is what I got in trouble for, for saying they don’t have fun.”

As you can imagine, there was backlash when Marsh made those comments about the Patriots. However, on the podcast Marsh did say he respects head coach Bill Belichick, but just doesn’t like him.

According to Marsh, he isn’t the only player who feels this way, and he had several Patriots reach out in support of him making the culture in New England public.

“A lot of the players like thanked me for making it public on how bad they treat guys. I mean, they win games so you just really can’t argue with championships,” Marsh said.

Marsh has gone on to say how different the Steelers’ culture is, and how much he has enjoyed his time playing for Mike Tomlin. He even went as far as stating how he enjoys the fact the Steelers will play the best players no matter what, something other teams don’t do. Instead, some teams favor drafted players, or players who are in the good graces of the coaching staff.

It is refreshing to see another organization get a negative light shown on them from time to time, but it isn’t as if Marsh has the best resume and track record when it comes to his time in the NFL.
