Week 1 of the NFL season is finally here. Everybody by the Detroit Lions (1-0) and the Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) is still looking at a clean sheet. That won’t last for long and the stakes for the Carolina Panthers are higher than for most as they are also kicking off their divisional schedule. They are playing the Atlanta Falcons tomorrow, if you hadn’t heard.

Taking a peek around the rest of the NFC South, the New Orleans Saints (-3) are hosting the Tennessee Titans while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+5.5) are traveling to the Minnesota Vikings.

While our staff is split on the Panthers getting their first win this weekend, most of us are confident that the Panthers won’t end up in too big of a hole compared to the rest of the division.
