The All Pro pass rusher had reportedly requested a trade from the team earlier this offseason.

Chandler Jones is in the building.

After continued speculation that the former All Pro Cardinal outside linebacker would continue sitting out all team activities, Jones was present and participating during Tuesday morning’s team drills.

At the writing of this article we have yet to hear from Jones, but it’s now clear he does not plan to hold out in what will be the last year of his contract.

The Cardinals are set to pay Jones just over $15 million dollars for his services in 2021.

This past weekend, it was reported by Jeremy Fowler that Jones had officially requested a trade from the club earlier this offseason. Obviously, the Cardinals did not grant his request to move to another club and plan to have him as a part of this 2021 squad.

The team had long believed that Chandler Jones, despite wanting a new deal, would show up to training camp.

Jones had previously missed all of the team’s offseason activities, outside of the media day.

Along with Jones, fellow linebacker Jordan Hicks was also present during camp after previously being allowed to pursue a trade by the club. Hicks is set to serve as a reserve in 2021 thanks to the presence of first round pick Zaven Collins.

It’s still possible that Hicks is moved prior to the season, however.
