The Chargers’ starting right tackle went down with a knee injury in the third quarter against the Chiefs in Week 18.

The Chargers’ starting right tackle, Trey Pipkins, is officially questionable to return with a knee injury that he suffered in the third quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

Trey Pipkins has been a solid starter for the Chargers after being drafted in the third round of the 2019 class out of Sioux Falls under Tom Telesco’s leadership. He has protected Justin Herbert well over the last couple of seasons after finally breaking through to start. This play earned himself a three year deal through 2025 after his rookie contract expired at the end of 2022.

Foster Sarell has replaced Pipkins at the right tackle spot after he left the field in the second quarter. The backup tackle is a third year player after entering the league in 2021 as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford. Before today he played a total of 10 snaps in the regular season.
