Herbert and Lawrence have both thrown 25 touchdowns this season.
For the first time in four years, the Chargers are about to kickoff in a NFL playoff game.
This time around, they’re the AFC’s No. 5 seed on the road in Jacksonville to face the AFC South champion Jaguars.
For the first time since returning in week 17, the Chargers will have a healthy Joey Bosa while also getting to see what a healthy Keenan Allen can do against a Jaguars defense that didn’t get to see the veteran in week three. Unfortunately, big-time playmaker Mike Williams did not make the trip after team physicians discovered a small, nonsurgical fracture in his back on Friday morning. He’ll miss the playoff debut of both Justin Herbert and Brandon Staley, but there’s still a small outside chance he could return to play should the Bolts make it to the divisional round.
But the Chargers aren’t about next week at all. It’s one-and-done football the rest of the way.
It’s Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence in primetime. It doesn’t get much better than this on wild card weekend.
