Good morning and TGIF, Chargers fans!

We’re going to head into the weekend with another engaging discussion.

Out of the team’s three new coordinators, which one do you feel will have the biggest impact in their first season with the team? Will it be Joe Lombardi and his West Coast offense he brought over from the big easy? Will Renaldo Hill put the team’s elite defenders in the right places to win? Or will Derius Swinton completely turn around one of the worst special teams units of the past several years?

In my opinion, I think the potential impact to be made from Swinton and the ST unit cannot be understated. We know the offense has good players and should do well. The same can be said about the defense. But if a first-year coordinator can come in and make that unit somewhat respectable — and that’s a pretty low bar but we all know how bad it was last year — then I believe this team’s potential will be so much more achievable in Brandon Staley’s first year as a head coach.

As Charger fans, we’ve already seen a pretty horrendous example of what a bad special teams unit can do to a good offense and/or defense. It can literally be the difference between making the playoffs or not!

So let me know in the comments below which coordinator you believe will have the greatest impact and don’t forget to tell us why!
