Justin Herbert will try to pick up his first win against Bill Belichick today

Good morning Bolts From the Blue!

It’s a morning game for us west coasters, which means it’s a coffee game. We’re expecting a caffeinated, energetic game thread today as the Chargers desperately try to notch a “W” in the win column after a rough three game slide. For those in other locations… enjoy whatever beverage pairing your heart desires!

This game has significant consequences for two teams that are on the outside of playoff projections, albeit not yet mathematically eliminated. The Patriots are currently sitting at 2-9, and the Chargers 4-7. Should New England upset the Bolts today, they will be a mere one game behind the Chargers in the standings, while the Chargers would have dropped a game to their most beatable opponent remaining on the schedule. Should both teams somehow end the season with the same record, the tie breaker would effectively work against the Patriots and drop them below the Chargers in the draft order.

However, we’re here to pull for a Chargers victory in New England. Pride is still at stake, and Bill Belichick has always found ways to cook up wins against the Bolts. Have your tablet, phone, or laptop ready to chat with us all in the game thread, and let’s hope for a big Chargers’ win!
