We’re going position group by position group to see who has a shot at making the Chicago Bears opening day 53-man roster.

Football is in the air as the Chicago Bears rookies reported to training camp today, with the veterans scheduled to be at Halas Hall on Tuesday, and the first practice getting started on Thursday, July 29. Fans will be allowed at that first practice, with gates opening at 7:30 a.m. and practice getting started at 9:00 a.m. Tickets have already been allocated to all the practices, so if you were lucky enough to get some let us know by jumping in the comment thread of the Den or tagging us on Twitter.

This story stream will take a position by position look at the Bears roster and we’ll give our picks for roster locks, players that have a decent shot at making the 53-man roster, and those bubble guys that may end up on the practice squad.

Speaking of the practice squad, the 2020 rules will again be in affect this year, which means 16 players per squad, gameday roster flexibility, and protected players.

Be sure to check back each day as this stream will be updated with each new position we profile.
