While the Chicago Bears don’t report to training camp for another three weeks, that hasn’t stopped many players from continuing their offseason training ahead of the July 27 report date.

That includes rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who has been down in Austin, Texas, where he’s been working with Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson and Packers quarterback Jordan Love.

Fields also appears to be in attendance for Pro Stars Camp, where 100 percent of proceeds will benefit charity. The camp will feature NFL stars including Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James, Marquise Goodwin and Fields.

A video clip surfaced of Fields greeting a young fan at the training facility in Austin, where Fields took the time to talk to him.

While Fields won’t be competing for the starting quarterback in training camp, as Matt Nagy made it clear that Fields can’t win the job in camp, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding Fields’ future.

Fields will get plenty of work in the preseason, which easily makes this preseason one of the more exciting ones. And it feels like it’ll be sooner rather than later that Fields takes over for anointed starter Andy Dalton.
