The Chicago Bears got extremely lucky in landing quarterback Justin Fields with the 11th overall pick in the NFL draft. Not only does Fields have all of the tools to become a star quarterback in this league, but he’s an even better person.

After one diehard Bears fan, Scott Morrow, was shot walking to his friend’s house, his thoughts later drifted to Fields and the possibility of not getting to see his highly-anticipated debut.

“Within a couple moments, I thought well, I’m 41, pretty much all of Chicago has gone our whole lives without even having great prospects for a franchise quarterback, I can’t die before seeing Justin Fields take the field, man,” Morrow said on the Parkins and Spiegel Show on 670 the Score.

“…I don’t plan to die before he’s a Hall of Famer.”

The news made its way back to Fields, who paid Morrow and his family a visit. And just when you thought you couldn’t like Fields more, he does something like this.

Not only does Fields have the potential to be a star quarterback for the Bears, but they also got a good character guy, which is incredibly important to this organization.
