A recent segment from SB Nation’s Off Day Debrief has them discussing all the hot seat coaches.

I know, I know, that headline is a head-scratcher, but it’s the exact scenario discussed in the latest Off Day Debrief, SB Nation’s Tuesday podcast featuring hosts Brandon Lee Gowton and Rob “Stats” Guerrera. In the show they run down all the head coaches they believe will be on the hot seat in 2021, and the Chicago Bears Matt Nagy lands on both of their lists.

Stats has Nagy as his least likely head coach to get pink slipped, but Gowton has Nagy third on his power ranking of hot seat coaches. (As an FYI, BLG has been down on the Bears all offseason, so I’m not surprised at his ranking.)

I believe it’ll take a disaster for the Bears to dump Nagy, especially with rookie quarterback Justin Fields in town, but crazier things have happened in the NFL.

It’s a quickie of a segment so check it out and let us know in the comment section how you feel about the possibility.

Also, the guys mentioned the contract status of general manager Ryan Pace being done after this season, but there was a rumor floating around this offseason that the team may have lined his deal up to match Nagy’s. The Bears never addressed this, but it makes complete sense that they’d want the two on the same track.
