Chidobe Awuize kept the receipts.
After Cincinnati’s big 24-10 win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh in Week 3, Awuzie took to Twitter to remind everyone that all the experts at the NFL Network went against the Bengals.
To be fair to the folks at the NFL Network, they all believed the Bengals would at least keep the game close. Only Maurice Jones-Drew had the game being more than a one-score game. But the bottom line is it was a Pittsburgh sweep.
Clearly, this was motivation for Awuzie and the Bengals and they came to play on Sunday, including sacking Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger four times, picking him off twice and holding the Steelers to just 45 yards rushing.
It’s safe to say the predictions will be much more favorable for Week 4, as the Bengals host the 0-3 Jaguars on Thursday.
