Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie is headed to the Tennessee Titans on a three-year deal. There, he will join former Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, who is now the head coach in Nashville.

In three years with the Bengals, Awuzie played in 32 games and had 25 passes defended, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and two interceptions to go with 156 tackles. Both of the picks came in 2021, his first season with the team, which was also likely his best.

In 2022 his season ended after eight weeks when he tore his ACL, but he was able to be back for training camp in 2023 and played in Week 1, but he wasn’t back to how well he played before he was injured.

He was originally drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in 2017 and played there for four years before signing with the Bengals in 2021 for three years on a deal worth $21.75 million.

It was a deal that seemed to be a steal for the star cornerback before his injury.

Now Awuzie is headed to Music City for three years, and the Bengals will likely be looking to add a cornerback from elsewhere.
