The Kansas City defensive end will now miss two of the season’s first three games with hamstring injuries.
The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s home game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Neither defensive end Frank Clark (hamstring) or cornerback Charvarius Ward (quad) will suit up for the game — although defensive end Chris Jones (wrist) will play.
Here are the Chiefs’ inactives for today’s game:

Clark’s absence was not unexpected. On Friday’s injury report, he had been listed as doubtful for the game. Clark also missed the Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns with a hamstring issue — but on Friday, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid emphasized that the current hamstring issue is in his other leg. Both Jones and Ward had been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. Jones had been limited in practice all week. Ward was held out of Friday’s practice.
With Ward out, cornerback Deandre Baker — who is been inactive for both of the previous games — will be suiting up against Los Angeles.
There were no other Kansas City players who were missing practice time by the end of the week; the rest of the team’s inactive players should be considered healthy scratches.
The Chargers have also released their inactives list for the game. After being held out of practice all week — and being listed as questionable on Friday — star outside linebacker Joey Bosa (foot/ankle) will play on Sunday.

Cornerback Chris Harris Jr. (shoulder) had already been listed as out. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Justin Jones (calf) had been listed as doubtful. Neither will play against Kansas City.
On Saturday, the Chargers elevated linebacker Emeke Egbule and defensive end Joe Gaziano from their practice squad. Both are active for Sunday’s game — and as elevated players, will automatically be returned to the Los Angeles practice squad.
The rest of the Los Angeles players on this week’s injury reports were all practicing fully by Friday; healthy scratches make up the rest of the Chargers’ inactive list.
