The 4-4 Chiefs host the 7-1 Packers in ‘America’s Game of the Week.’

The Kansas City Chiefs play host to the Green Bay Packers in their Week 9 matchup coming up on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. Arrowhead Time. Kansas City, who originally opened up as slight favorites for the contest, have already dipped to 1-point home underdogs, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Chiefs closed as 10.5-point favorites over the New York Giants, but they failed to cover, only winning by three in a 20-17 game on Monday Night Football. The Packers are coming off a significant win, as they dealt the previously-undefeated Arizona Cardinals their first loss on last week’s edition of Thursday Night Football.

The spread changing so radically isn’t all that surprising, considering the Packers defeated the Cardinals without two key receivers in Davante Adams and Allen Lazard. With Green Bay playing Thursday and Kansas City playing Monday, the Packers also have four more days of rest than the Chiefs entering the Sunday matchup.

The last time the Chiefs met the Packers, Matt Moore started for the Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes out of the lineup, and the Packers won 31-24. The Chiefs would lose one more game that season en route to a Super Bowl title. This time, it is setting up for a marquee matchup: Mahomes against Aaron Rodgers.
