Browns defensive end is the highest-ranked player at his position, according to his fellow players.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has been everything the team could ask for after being the No. 1 overall selection in the 2017 NFL Draft.

A team leader, respected off the field for his charity work, and someone who knows how to disrupt an offense and get after the quarterback, as evidenced by his 42.5 career sacks.

Garrett is also the best at his position in the NFL according to his peers, who placed Garrett at No. 16 on NFL Network’s annual list of the 100 Top Players in the league.

In 2020, Garrett has 12 sacks in 14 games, four forced fumbles, 10 tackles for loss and 18 quarterback hits. He also was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second time and earned his first All-Pro selection.

According to the rankings at NFL.com:

Notching double-digit sack totals for the third consecutive season, Garrett earned his first first-team All-Pro bid with 12 sacks (18 QB hits), 48 tackles (33 solo, 10 TFL), four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. At 6-foot-4, 272-pounds, Garrett’s combination of size and speed is a major burden for even the elite offensive tackles in the league and he’s often found being the catalyst of Browns’ takeaways that aren’t found on a standard stat sheet. The 25-year-old improves 64 spots on the Top 100 and enters a contract year in 2021 with an improved Browns defense.

Garrett is the fourth – and likely final – member of the Browns to make the list, joining running back Nick Chubb (No. 26), quarterback Baker Mayfield (No. 71) and wide receiver Jarvis Landry (No. 94).
