Colts’ Anthony Richardson gets engaged, expecting baby

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has a big offseason ahead preparing for his second campaign in the NFL, but he’s also got some important life matters taking place off the field.

The budding star quarterback announced his engagement with his girlfriend, Jada, who also is expecting their child.

Richardson’s highly anticipated rookie season ended abruptly after he suffered a Grade 3 AC joint sprain during the Week 5 win over the Tennessee Titans.

The injury eventually required surgery, which forced him to miss the rest of the season, paving the way for Gardner Minshew to fill in as the starter in Shane Steichen’s offense.

Richardson began his throwing program in February as a part of the rehab process, and it will be interesting to see if he will be ready to participate in the spring workouts, which take place in the middle of April.
