How do Colts fans feel about the team after their Week 6 victory over the Texans?

Just like the previous two weeks, Colts fans were asked by Super Bowl Nation to give their level of confidence in the team after Week 6.

After earning their second win of the season, fans’ level of confidence in Indy appears to be rising heading into the team’s Week 7 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers.

While the Colts weren’t perfect Sunday, they did put together their most complete performance of the season. Indy took care of business against a mediocre Texans’ team, defeating them 31-3.

Offensively, quarterback Carson Wentz and running back Jonathan Taylor helped lead the way with impressive performances. Wentz torched Houston’s secondary and tossed two passing touchdowns, including a 51-yarder to wide receiver Parris Campbell. Taylor had a 2-touchdown day of his own, rushing for 145 yards and averaging nearly 11 yards per carry.

As far as the defense is concerned, linebacker Darius Leonard stepped up (again), forcing two key turnovers, which Indy’s offense cashed in on by scoring touchdowns during each ensuing drive. Let’s also not forget about the team’s secondary, which had a turnover of their own and made rookie quarterback Davis Mills look like, well, a rookie.

Currently sitting at 2-4 and two games behind Tennessee, who sit at 4-2 on the season, Sunday’s showdown against the 49ers is one the Colts must win if they want to keep pace with their division rival as we near closer to the halfway point of the 2021 season.
