Colts’ Injury Report: CB Bopete Keyes Out; Hilton, Smith and Rhodes all ‘Questionable’

The Colts release their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup against Tennessee.

In what many are calling their biggest game of the season, the Indianapolis Colts look to possibly get back several key starters for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans.

Cornerback Bopete Keyes is the only player ruled out for Sunday. Tackle Braden Smith, wide receiver T.Y. Hilton and cornerback Xavier Rhodes are officially listed as ‘questionable’, according to the Colts’ injury report.

Although Hilton, Smith and Rhodes are all listed as questionable, each player was a full participant during Friday’s practice, which is a good sign for their potential availability for Sunday’s game.

Additionally, both Smith and Rhodes were full participants in back-to-back practices, which also speaks to where they’re all from a health standpoint. Rhodes played a crucial role in helping Indy secure its second straight win last Sunday night after intercepting 49ers’ quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo late in the 4th quarter.

Smith’s much-anticipated return would also be a huge boost to the teams’ offensive line, as he hasn’t played a single snap since Week 2. While Matt Pryor has filled in quite nicely in Smith’s absence, the Colts are going to want to be at full strength along their offensive line when going up against the Titans’ pass rush.

While Tennessee’s pass-rush isn’t as dominant as, say, the Rams or Bucs, they do have some key standouts who have been performing rather well this season. Harold Landry is having his best year as a pro, recording 7.5 sacks through the first seven weeks. Denico Autry and Jeffery Simmons can be a handful at times, too.

The Colts are still very much in the playoff picture, and a win on Sunday could drastically increase their chances of getting in, especially with games against both the Jets and Jags in the near future.

But Indy must not get too far ahead. Just as a win Sunday would be major for the teams’ playoff hopes, a loss would be devastating to their chances as well.

Simply, the Colts are going to be the healthiest they’ve been all season long against the Titans; and must find a way to take care of business on their home turf Sunday and worry about their remaining schedule later.
