The Indianapolis Colts haven’t forgotten about losing to the Cleveland Browns in October 2023.
It’s been on their mind so much that they submitted a proposal for a rule change that would allow a coach or replay official to challenge any foul called inside two minutes.
The Colts suffered an ugly defeat last season that is still lingering. Despite withstanding the historic defense that the Browns were maintaining at the time, Indy unraveled during the back half of a close game, losing 39-38.
Two penalties on cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. didn’t help, including a questionable defensive pass interference call that helped the Browns get inside the five-yard line.
Months later, the Colts have submitted a rule change proposal that would allow a foul to be challenged inside two minutes by a coach or a replay official.

Who knows if this will get put into motion, but it might help keep questionable calls from deciding the outcomes of games.
