What needs to Rams still need to address on day 3 of the NFL Draft?

The focus of the NFL Draft thus far for the Los Angeles Rams has been on the defensive side of the ball. It wouldn’t be surprising if that remains the case on day three with needs still at linebacker, safety, and potentially defensive line depth. Here’s who the Rams could take on the final day of the NFL Draft.

154 – LB Jaylan Ford, Texas

The Rams unsurprisingly didn’t take a linebacker on day two of the NFL Draft. They may wait and see who becomes available as an undrafted free agent. With that said, if they draft a player, Jaylan Ford makes a lot of sense. Ford is good in coverage and should provide a good complement to Ernest Jones. The Rams could trade up into the fourth round, but if they stay in round five, that would be a perfect spot for a linebacker.

196 – CB Nehemiah Pritchett, Auburn

It’s a little surprising that the Rams haven’t taken a cornerback at this point. With TJ Tampa still on the board, that would seem like pretty good value. Tampa may not be a fit, but Pritchett is in the mold of what they usually look for in a cornerback. If the Rams don’t take a cornerback, they could once again face a situation in which they’re relying on Derion Kendrick. Pritchett adds good depth.

209 – C Matt Lee, Miami

At some point, the Rams will need to add a center. They may look at more of a center-guard prospect like Dylan McMahon or Javion Cohen. With that said, Lee is one of the most experienced centers on the board. The Rams moved Steve Avila to center this offseason and lost both Coleman Shelton and Brian Allen. Behind Avila, they currently have Mike McAllister. Lee should fit the blocking scheme.

213 – K Cam Little, Arkansas

Will the Rams take a kicker on day three of the draft? If they do, Snead could look at taking Cam Little out of Arkansas. Little was at the Shrine Bowl and displays a strong leg. The Rams could wait until undrafted free agency to take a kicker, or they could just take their guy in the later stages of the draft.

217 – iOL Karsen Barnhart, Michigan

The Rams continue to build in the trenches on day three. With Joe Noteboom on the final year of his deal and losing Tremayne Anchrum in free agency, the Rams need a versatile player in the offensive line room. Barnhart has experience at four of the five positions on the offensive line and is a perfect Anchrum replacement.

254 – DL Evan Anderson, FAU

After losing Jonah Williams in free agency, the Rams need a run-stopping defensive linemen with size. Anderson is a massive 1T with good first-step quickness. He’s not much of a threat on passing downs, but as a rotational player on run downs, he should find a role. Anderson also has two blocked field goals in his career.
