Davis was the only rookie to be named to the NFLPA’s Player’s second annual All-Pro team.
On Wednesday morning, the NFL Players Association announced its second annual Players’ All-Pro Team, consisting of 29 players across every position in the league. It wasn’t without at least one Chargers player, however, as rookie return man Derius Davis was named to the team as a punt returner. Davis is also the only first-year player to be named to the team.

In his first NFL season, Davis averaged 16.0 yards per punt return on 24 attempts. He totaled 385 yards, including an electric 87-yard punt return for a touchdown against the Jets. Davis could have had another punt return for a touchdown but his second score was called back by a questionable holding penalty.
As a kick returner, he averaged 22.0 yards on 17 returns.

While Davis was seldomly-used on offense, he still had his fair share of impact plays, including a rush of over 50 yards in the Chargers’ first game against the Raiders in Week Four. As a receiver, he caught 15 passes for 66 yards while rushing for another 101 yards on 14 carries.
